Its feathers reproduce the colors of the national ensign. Originally called guatini by the aborigines, Tocororo was chosen as Cuba's national bird for two main reasons:
the symbolism of its beautiful feathers and its resistance to captivity and stunning study of purple, red, black and white it's easy to find one in the mountain forest.
On the way to the Sierra de Trinidad mountainous, visit plantation. Working plantations still exist, produce some of the island's major exports, mango , bananas, coffee and citrus fruits. Tours of the plantations include lessons on the life cycle of the banana plant and coffee production.
